Job Summary:
This position requires an individual with excellent administrative skills and more importantly, mechanical skills and expertise in refrigeration. Basically the PSM program is comprised of two parts, administrative and mechanical and both demand focus to detail, commitment, and accuracy. This applies on the administrative side when revising or revalidating PSM documents, procedures, and P&ID’s, and the same applies on the mechanical side when writing pump down, startup, operating, and maintenance procedures. The PSM Supervisor must have an in-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles, flow, components, and system mechanics. The mechanical side of the PSM program is based on system inspections, PM’s that meet manufactures recommendations and work orders all of which are generated through the MP2 maintenance program. Oversees the work of the department planner who is a direct link to the Mechanical Integrity portion of the PSM program. This position will also be responsible for supervising the facilities maintenance team.
