Job Summary:

Directs and manages the associates of Further Processing Departmental operations directly related to the RTE Department with strong focus on Safety, Food Safety, and Customer needs and interacts on a daily basis with RTC/RTE Department Supervisors.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:

Directs and manages production aspects, food safety, and customer orders for the RTE Further Processing area on the shift.

Leads and coordinates RTE associates, ensuring all resources are available to produce quality products in a timely, safe, and efficient manner with a high expectation in quality.

Insures that the company’s core values are communicated and practiced by all company personnel.

Follows the production schedule as defined by the RTE Manager.

Establishes and cultivates a safe work environment.

Controls and maximizes all labor productivity and minimizes Labor Overtime.

Interchange of accurate detailed information with oncoming shift Supervisor.

Work closely with Quality Control department and USDA inspectors.

Monthly team meeting with all associates.

Provides leadership and training to accomplish company goals and objectives.

Interacts, coordinates and communicates directly with all other Further Processing Supervisors.

Maintains a clean operational work environment.

Responsible for SAP accuracy for the Supervisors operations on the Night Shift.

Coordinates and facilitates timely response for Corrective Actions, SSOP, and SPS in area of responsibility.


Additional Responsibilities:

Other duties as assigned by RTE Superintendent or other senior management


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of and ability to work with computer programs such as SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)

Good interpersonal and teambuilding skills.

Excellent attendance, personnel and safety record.

Good understanding of fundamental labor and waste control.

Ability to delegate responsibility.

Ability to absorb and mange increasing responsibilities and excel in a leadership position.

Working knowledge of manufacturing methods, process improvements, problem solving techniques and procedures.

Task completion oriented.

Excellent time management, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Previous exposure to USDA, HACCP, OSHA, EPA, FDA, and other applicable regulatory agencies

Working knowledge of manufacturing and processing equipment.


Education & Experience: 

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred

At least one (1) year supervisory experience in a poultry/meat processing plant
