Job Description

Position can be based out of our Ozark, Arkansas or Carthage, Missouri manufacturing facilities.

The Organizational Development Consultant acts as a learning consultant and trusted advisor to the business, working with the Director of Organizational Development & Engagement in identifying, developing and implementing learning and development solutions that align to our organizational talent development needs and strategies.

The OD Consultant works with all levels of the organization to design and deliver impactful and relevant, learning solutions that enable all our team members to grow and flourish.


  • BA/BS degree in Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, HR, Training or related degree
  • 5 to 7 years’ progressive responsibility in Organizational Development, Leadership Development, Talent Management or in HR with a focus on leadership.
  • Experience must include designing, developing, and facilitating leadership training in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience must include managing complex projects and leading project teams.


  • Master’s Degree in related field is preferred.
  • Certifications in Situational Leadership, Crucial Conversations, Crucial Accountability, Emotional Intelligence, Prosci, Project Management, etc.
  • Experience in all aspects of building organizational development programs (i.e., needs assessment, design, development, facilitation, evaluation).
  • Experience building and promoting diversity, belonging and inclusion through learning solutions is a plus.


Organizational & Leadership Development:

  • Develops strategic partnerships with the Leadership & HR Business Partners that enable us to identify talent development gaps.
  • Supports design and facilitation (internal or through an external partner) of management and leadership development programs at all leadership levels, Executive to Front-Line.
  • Conduct needs assessments for individuals/business units to determine appropriate learning solutions - learning objectives, audience needs, and developmental programs to achieve business objectives and increase individual and organizational capabilities. 
  • Establishes internal network, building and maintaining cross-functional relationships to meet learning and development needs, acts as a trusted advisor to internal business partners. 
  • Partners with Talent Development and Organizational Engagement to support the implementation of key talent initiatives across all aspects of our organization related to career growth, employee development, employee effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Integrates competency model to ensure talent development efforts are aligned with business needs.
  • Provides individualized coaching, including assessment, feedback, identification of development needs, support in the creation of a development plan and progress tracking.

Learning Solutions and Project Management:

  • Researches, designs, and develops learning and development solutions for classroom and virtual training from start to finish; incorporates input from business unit groups and subject matter experts and utilizing adult learning theory and learning design principles
  • Defines and utilizes the most effective learning mix (i.e., instructor led, live-on-line, e-Learning, blended learning, or social learning) for the agreed target audience while applying best practices for effective learning methodology. 
  • Utilizes multiple research and data collection methods along with alternate learning methods to present leaders with recommended solutions that fit the culture, strategic direction and resources of the organization.
  • Operationalizes best-in-class practices to drive standardization, efficiencies, and reduction in costs
  • Incorporates relevant trends, developments and best practices in the learning and development field, including new technologies and methodologies. 
  • Plans, schedules, and communicates training events to coordinate with business units’ schedules and needs.
  • Enhances the learner experience by looking for new ways to integrate learning into the flow of work, to increase learning consumption and satisfy learning needs.


  • Knowledge of learning technologies (LMS, Course Authoring Tools, etc.) and proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Ability to develop strong business networks & partnerships, building trust with key stakeholders plus effectively and proactively managing expectations
  • Ability to communicate and work with senior leaders as well as front-line employees to provide training, communication, coaching, and feedback.
  • Passionate about learning and development
  • Excellent in-person workshop and virtual presentation delivery skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities
  • Ability to conduct assessments and analyze data to make decisions or recommendations.
  • Self-driven and committed to providing the highest level of service while remaining aligned with the goals of the organization.
  • To meet the needs of the business, the ability and willingness to conduct training during the evening and/or on weekends, with local and out of state travel, as determined by business need.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting; close vision and ability to adjust focus. Up to 30% travel and valid Driver’s License required.
