Job Summary:

This position is responsible to supervise the Human Resources recruiting department.  This position will oversee the administration of hiring hourly and non –exempt associates, the recruiting of exempt hiring positions and the staffing strategies for the department. 

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the development and administration of Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity programs and ensure all required data is maintained to meet OFCCP requirements and support AAP program.
  • Manage recruiting team and recruiting process.
  • Review daily & weekly recruiting metrics to ensure team is in compliance and achieving goals consistently.
  • Proactively source talent using innovative methods that include social networking, research, job boards, targeted direct calls, and networking.
  • Oversee full cycle recruiting to include; posting jobs, sourcing candidates, screening/testing, scheduling interview, hiring, and new hire onboarding collaboration.
  • Lead direct report(s) and other project team members in recruitment process, as well as the design/development of content, tools, and resources providing new employees with a unique experience as well as a sense of community, purpose, belonging and role readiness.
  • Coordinates the hourly, professional and managerial staffing activity of the company, including internal and external recruitment as well as placement and college recruiting.
  • Coordinates with managers so that recruitment programs are consistent with the corporation's commitment as an equal opportunity employer.
  • Consults with hiring managers of functional areas concerning the known needs and anticipated needs for the facility.
  • Extends of employment offers and coordination of hiring process for new hires.
  • Develops advertisements for open positions and places ads in most effective media.
  • Serve as liaison with community employment agencies and participate in other recruitment avenues (career fairs, school job fairs, vocational rehab, etc.)
  • Sources, screens, and interviews candidates for open positions. Coordinates onsite interviews including scheduling travel arrangements.
  • Facilitate candidate interview feedback sessions to assist the hiring managers with proper selection of ideal candidates for the available positions.
  • Monitors all hiring activities to ensure employment laws are being followed and all hiring practices are fair and consistent.
  • Works with managers in development of job descriptions.
  • Ensures that all proper applicant information is entered timely and accurately into SAP.
  • Ensures that all applicant tracking is completed and in compliance with federal guidelines.
  • Participates actively in and supports the HR goal process.
  • Train and ensure team members have a strong knowledge of recruiting policy, procedures and processes.
  • Ability to use sound judgement and discretion while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and resourceful in response to changing priorities and needs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of management
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular with Microsoft Excel
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or Creole), preferred

Education & Experience: 

  • High school diploma required, bachelor degree in business- or HR-related field strongly preferred
  • 2-3 years of human resource recruiting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior Recruiting Management experience preferred.
