Position Summary: 

The Poult Room Associate is responsible for preparing day old turkeys for shipment to farms. 

Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:

Use of machinery and manual processes to prepare day old poults for shipment to farms.  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to understand oral instructions, and perform simple tasks

Ability to perform essential duties in a safe and efficient manner.

Ability to follow Animal Care Well Being and Bio-Security policies and procedures.

Ability to perform work that is repetitive in nature.

Physical Requirements:

Standing for long periods of time.

Grip, grasp or twist using hands and wrists

Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 20lbs or more.

Bend and/or stoop repetitively throughout out shift.

Working with live animals.

Working Conditions/Department Description:

Working inside the Hatchery, including exposure to:

Working in a dry and/or dusty environment

Working in a damp and/or wet climate.

Working with live animals, and the associated environment, including but not limited to:

Working around strong odors.

Working in a loud/noisy environment.

Working in an environment with substantial dust circulation.
