Job Description

  Job Summary:

Perform general duties in Accounting relating to Live Operations including grower payments, processing plant settlements, bird movement transactions,  reporting. and general office duties.

Essential Functions:

  • Process, verify and organize weekly plant settlements and documentation

  • Provide servicemen with accurate and timely closeout information weekly

  • Verify flock charges such as feed returns, medication and supply charges

  • Process and reconcile all Brooder Move transfers weekly

  • Accurately excecute grower settlement calculation and payments within the contract time frame

  • Track grower deductions such as Housing Improvement Plans and gas.

  • Prepare and reconcile grower AR

  • Provide Meatbird Efficiency Report for Grow Closeouts weekly

  • Compile grower payment data and reconcile at year end for 1099’s

  • Update monthly Trend Report

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Vendor/ Grower/Bank Assignment mainentance in Mtech and supporting documents.

  • Maintain Grower Tax ID file for 1099’s

  • General office and accounting duties- filing and mail.

  • Assist with Audit requests as needed

  • Maintain SOP’s for duties

  • Assist and cross train on other accounting positions.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

  • High attention to detail in order to discover and avoid errors and inconsistencies.

  • Proficiency in use of word processing and spreadsheet software.

  • Knowledge of SAP and Mtech accounting systems.

  • Knowledge of all general office duties, bookkeeping and accounting principles.

  • Ability to touch-type and use a 10-key calculator proficiently.

  • Ability to operate common office equipment, such as multi-line telephones, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.

  • Complete paperwork and other work-related duties in English (read, write, speak fluently)

Education and Experience

                 

  • Two years College or Associate Degree preferred in accounting or finance-related field.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of previous relevant accounting/finance experience. preferred.
