Essential Duties, Functions & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Perform general duties in accounting relating to inventory control, invoicing,  and general office duties.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all documentation for for data entry into ERP and databases.
  • Process all plant production data from the various sources and communicate with Supervisors to update data.
  • Prepare all transfers from the plant to the various warehouses, record all outside purchase verify all production and inventories.
  • Reconcile all production with inventory transfers and adjust accordingly.
  • Prepares various inventory and production reports.
  • Answer multi-line telephone and redirect/transfer calls to appropriate personnel

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics (KSAOs)  Required to Be Successful in This Job

The qualified applicant will possess the following KSAOs:

  • High attention to detail to discover and to avoid errors and inconsistencies
  • Proficiency in use of common word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Basic knowledge of electronic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Ability to touch-type and use a 10-key calculator proficiently
  • Ability to operate common office equipment, such as multi-line telephones, copiers, scanners, and fax machines
  • Complete paperwork and other work-related duties in English (read, write, speak fluently)
  • Previous experience with SAP strongly preferred

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications  and provide a professional résumé in order to be considered for this position:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required  and one (1) year previous relevant work experience  OR associate degree in accounting or related field required with no relevant work experience
  • Must have been a Butterball associate for at least six (6) months  or have relevant work experience if not employed here for at least 6 months
  • No more than three  (3) occurrences on record when the posting is removed
  • No written warnings or final written warnings in the previous twelve (12) months
  • Must be willing to work overtime and flexible shifts as required, including weekends, holidays, and other shifts
