Hourly Recruiter/Clerk

OverviewThis is a temporary full time position. We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and hardworking Hourly Recruiter to assist with our recruiting activities. As an Hourly Recruiter, you will be responsible for posting job applications online, examining résumés, screening potential candidates, and setting up interviews. You will work directly with Human Resources and assist with all recruiting related duties. To ensure success as an Hourly Recruiter, you should have advanced knowledge of recruitment techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. A top-notch Hourly Recruiter understands the needs of the company and ensures that only qualified candidates make it through to the final interview. Responsibilities
  • Assisting Human Resources with recruitment duties; communicating with HR team
  • Posting job applications on social media and job sites.
  • Reviewing available positions and candidate requirements.
  • Tracking open positions using recruiting software.
  • Determining applicant qualifications by communicating with candidates, conducting initial phone screens, interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Managing the résumé database.
  • Assisting with clerical assignments.
  • Any other duties as needed.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent;
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or similar field preferred
  3. Two to four (2-4) years previous experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Bi-Lingual in English/Spanish (preferred).
  2. Knowledge of recruitment software and database systems.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Advanced interpersonal skills.
  5. Critical thinking skills.
  6. Ability to conduct interviews over the phone and via live chat.
  7. Excellent decision-making skills.
  8. Good organizational skills.
  9. Good decision-making skills.
  10. A working knowledge of employment law and legislation.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

PHR or SHRM-CP (preferred)

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting; close vision and ability to adjust focus.
