Job Description


Position Summary: 

The production associate is responsible for performing a variety of production focused tasks on a rotated basis to support the daily production.

Essential Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Process product using tools and equipment provided.
  • Follow all work safety policies and guidelines.
  • Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns
  • Adheres to all USDA and GMP product standards and guidelines
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Will be required to rotate to various functions within the processing department
  • Perform any jobs in the department at the supervisor’s discretion.
  • Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing (8 hours a day or more),
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to 50 lbs. or more)
  • Working with scissors or knives
  • Gripping, grasping and twisting using hands and wrists
  • This job requires the ability to reach and grasp with both hands and extend arms fully.

Working Conditions/Department Description:

  • Work in damp and cold environment
  • Work with loud and noisy machinery
  • Work with raw meat
  • Work in congested areas
