The Feed Mill Operator is responsible for the production of feed products

Essential Duties, Functions, and Responsibilities

• Accurately produce feed products utilizing the Repete program system in accordance with standard system operating procedures.

• Accurately and efficiently schedule production for the assigned shift.

• Accurately maintain production records and other documentation associated with the operator position.

• Maintain proper inventory levels of manufactured ingredients and all micro ingredients through weighing and measuring.

• Perform daily basic housekeeping (sweeping, trash, cleaning) and maintenance.Document scheduled maintenance of equipment for which the position is responsible.

• Possess knowledge of ingredient flow from storage to batching

• Possess knowledge of finished product flow from production to finished product storage

• Possess knowledge of receiving and finished product loading procedures

• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights (40+ feet), including on catwalks

• Ability to work in seasonal, outdoor conditions (hot, cold, or wet conditions)

• Ability to walk, stand and climb for extended periods of time

• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds

• Basic reading and writing skills

• Basic computer skills

• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers)

Basic mechanical ability to do repairs

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications in order to be considered for this position:

• No minimum education requirement; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous feed mill experience preferred

• Previous experience in a light to medium industrial setting preferred, with preference give to individuals who have previously worked in a feed mill

Must be willing to work overtime and flexible shifts as required, including weekends, holidays, and other shifts
