Job Summary:  To provide professional medical care to associates, conduct screenings, promote wellness among associates and perform assigned safety and health functions.  To outline the correct method of training newly hired , retrain, cross train existing employees in such areas as: job specific training, proper work methods, OSHA required employee training (PIT,LOTO, Chemical Specific Training)

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Promote and schedule wellness activities among associates
  • Treatment of associates for injuries/incidents, assist in trend analysis
  • Monitor work related injuries
  • Track Management Accountability Program
  • Contact company physicians when necessary (restriction clarification, after hour emergencies, etc)
  • Complete the new hire safety orientation and training for assigned task.
  • Assisting new employees on their 2nd day of orientation
  • Work instructions and JSA with New Hires and re-hires
  • Conduct Drug and Alcohol tests as well as Random
  • Administer RTW program
  • Medical documentation data entry
  • Conduct Audiometric testing
  • Production floor presence Daily
  • Maintain SDS books
  • Participate in Shift Safety meetings and support Safety & Health goals

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of medical equipment
  • Clerical and computer skills, SAP, AS400, (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Excellent attendance and personnel record
  • Excellent time management, organizational, written and verbal communication
  • Self - motivated team player

Education & Experience: 

  • EMT Certification

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties as assigned
