Job Description

Job Summary:  Administrative Assistant job functions are to track, document, and analyze  Safety Data.  Safety data includes plantwide accidents/incidents, LOTO equipment, , Supervisory Accountability etc.

Essential Functions:

  • Track, docment, and analyze  Safety Data.  Safety data includes plantwide accidents/incidents, LOTO equipment,  Supervisory Accountability etc.
  • Prepare accident reports received from OHS and Safety and send out electronically to appropriate supervision
  • Update / track all incident/accident/near misses on the hazard resolution log
  • Track and monitor accident investigation through workflows
  • Prepare daily safety report for ESC and Plant Personnel
  • Support Information
  • Issue lockout/tagout equipment to new associates who require, maintain and update equipment information
  • Issue trailer restraint equipment to new associates who require, maintain and update equipment information
  • Update safety accident log and track all incident/accident/near miss reports
  • Update current contractor training list
  • Track all Visitors Acknowlegments
  • Track & maintain all accident/incident/near miss reports
  • Update plantwide supervisor / management safety accountabiltiy sheet for fire drills, safety meetings, OSHA topics, supervisor meetings, safety inspections, behavioral audits, shelter in place training
  • Ensure all OSHA topics are accurate before sending to Human
  • Track and analyze all safe and unsafe behaviors that are found on montly supervisory audits
  • Create bi weekly Safety Quizzes and email out to plant
  • Host Teams Meeting for biweekly drawing for Safety Quiz Winners
  • Issue Butterball Reward points for Quizzes, UCR’s, Safety Meetings, Special Recognition etc
  • Update Monthly Workers Compensation cost

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Prepare reports to inform of past week accidents, incidents, near misses
  • Update report card that shows recordable injuries & incidents by week with corresponding rates and weekly restricted duty days
  • Prepare each managers report card to show recordable injuries & incidents for respective departments
  • Provide data trending information for TIR/Incident Rate
  • Attend Star Site meeting
  • Prepare information to track accidents/incidents, near misses by supervisor
  • Prepare monthly safety stats for updated recordable rates and incident rates
  • Recognize new UCR submissions and issue Butterball Reward Points
  • Update Star Site Information on bulletin boards
  • Prepare monthly safety graphs by department, body part, types of injury, this done through pivot tables
  • Comparison in past years safety information (monthly)
  • Order supplies for security bi-monthly
  • Order supplies / appareal for Safety Department
  • Order loto supplies / hasp to ensure inventory on hand
  • Design and coordinate plant wide safety prizes for Safety Milestones
  • Order any signs and banners for plant, ensuring they are received in system and invoices are paid
  • Post daily or seveal times a week to The Butterball Table
  • Post pertnant information to the CCT System
  • Member of First Up Team
  • Efile documents such as loto agreements, loto removal forms, contractor training, visitor info, safety audits, etc.
  • Exchange out X Ray dosimenter badges monthly in RTE Department   

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

Accuracy/Excel Formulas

Accuracy in material tracking/Access data base

Access data base/plantwide dept knowledge

Knowledge of plant wide sub groups and management/excel formulas

Education and Experience

Physical Requirements









Seeing:  Must be able to read reports and use computer


Hearing:  Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with coworkers








Grasping/Feeling:  Must be able to write, type and use phone system
