Job Summary:
- Provide professional medical care to associates
- Assist in the management of Workers Compensation
Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and leadership to OHS staff
- Promote health and wellness among associates
- Treatment of associates for injuries/incidents
- Strong assessment and treatment skills
- Monitor work related illnesses/injuries to help decrease Workers Compensation claims
- Review and maintain Workers Compensation files
- Complete 1st Report of Injury, and other forms as required by the state of Missouri
- Initiate accident investigation paperwork and attend investigation
- Contact company physicians (scheduling Workers Compensation appointments, restriction clarifications, after hour emergencies, etc.)
- Conduct Random and New Hire Drug testing
- Administer “Return to Work” program
- Order and maintain supplies
- Lead the plant ergonomics team
- Monitor the audiometric testing program for compliance; conduct audiometric testing
Qualifications
- Currently licensed as an LPN and in good standing with the Mo. Board of Nursing
- Not less than two years’ experience as a registered nurse
- Have excellent communication skills
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Office software
- Current CPR Certification
- Familiarity with workplace safety and record keeping a plus
- Industrial experience desired
- Some weekend work required
