Job Summary: 

The Onboarding & Recruiting Manager is responsible for designing, creating, and directing hiring initiatives, improving efficiency and effectiveness of the hiring process, managing applications, and coordinating and implementing the Butterball Onboarding Program.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Operations and other hiring managers to assess current and forecasted hiring needs.
  • Develop knowledge and insights into the business requirements in order to both anticipate and ensure fulfillment of open positions in a quality and timely manner.
  • Establish innovative candidate sourcing strategies that enhance the diversity and strength of the candidate pool.
  • Proactively source talent using innovative methods that include social networking, research, job boards, targeted direct calls, and networking.
  • Oversee full cycle recruiting to include; posting jobs, sourcing candidates, screening/testing, scheduling interview, hiring, and new hire onboarding collaboration.
  • Develop candidate success models to accurately predict the success of each candidate in the new role.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and processes in the appropriate and efficient use of the Applicant Tracking System and other relevant software.
  • Oversee and lead all required data to meet OFCCP requirements and support AAP program.
  • Ensure full compliance to Company standards, and local, state, and federal laws and regulations surrounding employment and the recruiting process.
  • Lead direct report(s) and other project team members in recruitment process, as well as the design/development of content, tools, and resources providing new employees with a unique experience as well as a sense of community, purpose, belonging and role readiness.
  • Act as a champion for our employment brand across the organization by creating opportunities to engage current team members to learn how to best promote the Company as an exciting place to work and to utilize team members as talent and recruitment advocates.
  • Manage all phases of the Butterball Onboarding Program. Continuously evolve the program by partnering with internal partners and hiring managers delivering unique and seamless engagement experiences.
  • Using metrics and program feedback, Identify, develop and implement program improvements that result in the successful transition of new employees.
  • Ensure all aspects of the Butterball Onboarding Program are robust and provide a consistent, quality experience for all new employees. Monitor and liaise with business/functional partners to ensure all programs and content is regularly maintained and kept current.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned. 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics

  • Knowledge of recruiting best practices and employment law that impacts the recruiting function.
  • Proficiency in advanced search techniques and methodologies and with a variety of social media and other recruitment outlets.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven abilities using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or similar system.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship.
  • Ability to think critically and utilize sound judgment when decision making; big picture thinker.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Competent in public speaking.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and relationship management skills.
  • Energetic, reliable and resourceful; exhibits initiative and creativity.
  • Possess flexibility and agility to handle multiple, simultaneous projects, in a fast-paced, ambiguous, dynamic environment with fluid objectives and priorities.
  • Detailed oriented and organized.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years full cycle recruiting and onboarding experience required
  • Experience in Protein Manufacturing a plus
