HR Coordinator

Location:  Huntsville                                                             Department: Human Resource

Reports to: HR Manager                                                            Shift:   Nights

Hourly/Salaried:  Hourly                                                       FLSA status:  Non-exempt

Job Summary:

Perform onboarding for all new employees.

  • Make initial contact with applicants to schedule interviews

  • Prepare orientation materials

  • Conduct orientation classes. Ensure all orientation content is current and makes a quality first impression

  • Review new employee documents as needed, and assist with associate functions.

  • Assist associates with benefits questions

  • Act as a backup and assistant to the other functions in the Department

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Enter into SAP all HR related entries

  • Assist with personnel record keeping

  • Assist with employee verifications

  • Enter information for background screenings

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written

  • Ability to prepare documents and spreadsheets

  • Knowledge of plant operations

  • Computer experience with Microsoft Office preferred

Education & Experience: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • 1+year experience in HR related work preferred

  • Bilingual (required)

 Additional Responsibilities:

  • Serves on VPP committee

  • Assists with Plant celebrations and events
