Job Description


To support the QA manager in maintaining the USDA regulated HACCP and SOP plans as well as other food safety related programs.  This entails, but is not limited to, maintaining the written plans, associated records and documentation review and filing, as well as conducting training and consultation on product and process deficiency Corrective Actions.  This position will provide training to all levels of Operations and other associates on proper HACCP principles.  To fulfill these responsibilities, time on different shifts may be required.


  • Organizational and clerical skills
  • Proficient math, verbal, and written skills
  • Familiar with the use of a computer using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Have excellent attendance and personnel record
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Able to perform multiple duties
  • Able to maintain and manage a work plan & daily schedule
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Have knowledge of workplace safety rules
  • Ability to complete paperwork accurately
  • Ability to read, understand, and interact with USDA officials and regulations
  • Able to interact with all levels of Management
  • Validate GMP, HACCP, and SOP's are in compliance
  • Understanding of the Process


  • Proficiency in computer skills in database applications as well as other related software
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • 2 year or more science-based college degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Processing experience in the poultry/meat industry
  • HACCP certified preferred
