Job Description

The Corporate Logistics Services and Analytics Manager is a key resource that leads a team of Analysts within the supply chain and logistics function. Working cross functionally within the organization to ensure business needs of both transportation and warehousing stakeholders are being met.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Build and deliver reporting capabilities across the supply chain and logistics ecosystem.
  • Develop and implement logistics reporting metrics that include but are not limited to transportation, warehousing, network effectiveness, and inventory management.
  • Utilize knowledge of the business and data techniques to discover and/or anticipate problems or process improvements
  • Drive automation of the data collection and analysis processes and create data reporting solutions that meet the needs of the business
  • Maintain and drive an ongoing effort to implement cost reduction ideas and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver summary level information of supply chain data to effectively make recommendations and influence others to take action.
  • Report on cost increases and working with logistics leadership and sales to ensure these costs are identified, reviewed, and passed to customers consistent with our product and customer terms.
  • Lead and properly assign resources to operational projects identified by transportation and warehousing leadership throughout the year.
  • Support the logistics execution of the business surges throughout the year.
  • Manage a multi-disciplined project team of analysts to complete supply chain/logistics projects on-time, on-budget and meeting all requirements such as cost, quality, scope and schedule.
  • Own the logistics project management plan to ensure project deadlines are being met and with the intended results.
  • Coach and mentor team members towards successful completion of project goals with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations and progress to team members and other stakeholders.
  • Further develop logistics cost to serve model and implement the results.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Access, Power BI.
  • Experience with other data mining (i.e. SQL) or data visualization tools like Tableau are a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Procurement software is preferred.
  • Creative problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a business environment with frequent change, ambiguity, and complexity.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively discuss data findings, trends, improvements.
  • Capable of prioritizing multiple projects

Education & Experience:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or similar field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Logistics, Transportation, or similar field
  • Transportation experience for a manufacturer or shipper of food products is a plus.
