Job Summary – Directly oversees all aspects of operation within the breeding division to ensure the highest quality of turkeys possible

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities

  •  Maintaining all farm equipment in working order; trucks, vans, tractors, and trailers
  • Ordering feed as needed for designated farms
  • Schedule trucks for load out to plant
  • Ensure that all farms are meeting quality egg standards
  • Write schedules for inseminators, farm maintenance (grass upkeep), and farm equipment maintenance personnel
  • Manage all aspects of company housing
  • Assurance that all jobs are being completed successfully and quality is maintained
  • Approve all invoices in reference to designated farms

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Personally repair or hire qualified person/persons to repair broken or damaged farm equipment
  • Conduct Daily and Weekly mortality rates and egg numbers and document on the appropriate forms
  • Ensure farm supplies are ordered as needed and received accordingly
  • Act as a liaison with safety manager in regard to training associates working on the farm
  • Complete all paperwork when an injury is reported, follow drug testing procedures, and report all workers compensation claims to the Safety Manager
  • Assist in the hiring and termination process of employees as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent attendance and personnel record.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Able to successfully multi-task

Educat  Education & Experience: 

High School Diploma or GED required in addition to related management experience

Bi-Lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required

Physical Demands

Able to stand, stoop, and walk for long periods of time. Lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Consistently work in severe weather conditions, albeit hot or cold depending on the season.

Fast paced agricultural environment where the ability to multi-task is of utmost importance, and quick solution to any problems that may arise is accomplished.
